positions are currently available for: 

  • The electrical engineering department is one of our largest departments and we have a growing demand for engineering support in a variety of market sectors.  As a senior electrical engineer at Century A&E, you will be responsible to complete design projects for our Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Municipal clients, including the following major areas of design:

    • Medium and Low Voltage Power Distribution System Design

    • Industrial and Commercial Lighting Design and Modeling

    • Industrial Control Systems Design Including PLC based Control, HMI Interface, and Motor Control Systems, etc.

    • Process Instrumentation Design

    • Emergency Power Generation System Design

    • Alternative Energy Design-Solar, Hydro, Bio-Gas, etc.

    • Electrical System Modeling for Short Circuit Analysis, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Protective Device Coordination

    • Drawing Development Using AutoCAD Design Software

    Responsibilities:

    • Engineering and design for complete multi-discipline projects and electrical design projects

    • Coordinate electrical design for multi-disciplined projects

    • Development of drawings and specifications related to electrical designs

    • Develop construction cost estimates and conduct electrical engineering studies

    • Direct coordination with clients and contractors during construction

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor of Science in an Accredited Electrical Engineering Program

    • Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering design experience preferably at a design consulting firm.

    • Professional Engineering License in the state of Michigan is desirable

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) software, AutoCAD
